November 9, 2013: A Night in the Brewery
The evening in West Midtown Atlanta began with hot toddies from American Spirit Whiskey by the fire on the back porch and was followed by a seated dinner in the brewery with Chef E. J. Hodgkinson from JCT Kitchen. All proceeds benefited the Giving Kitchen Initiative.
September 5th, 2013 at Buttermilk Kitchen
Southern Food Tour hosted a “front porch party” with Chef Suzanne Vizethann of Buttermilk Kitchen and Chef Shane Devereux of Barcelona Wine Bar. The Chef’s prepared a five course fried chicken dinner two ways – one traditional, Southern style and the second, a Vietnamese take on a classic Southern dish. In addition to Vietnamese and classic Southern fare, guests enjoyed crafted cocktails from American Spirit Whiskey and live music on the porch. All proceeds benefited Hope Farm.
April 21st, 2013 at Dillwood Farms
Southern Food Tour and guests enjoyed an evening on the farm with Chefs Steven Satterfield from Miller Union and Ryan Smith from Empire State South as they collaborated on a Southern historical preparation of a family style dinner. The evening included a tour of the farm by Dillwood Farms' owner, crafted cocktails from Miller Union and Empire State South's Mixologists and a family style dinner in the field with wine pairings.
February 16th, 2013 Launch Party at the Goat Farm
A distinct voice for Southern food.
On a brisk February evening we celebrated an evening of food, drinks, film and music highlighting Southern food heritage at an amazing venue. The night included a pig roast from Chefs Ford Fry and Kevin Gillespie, beer from Monday Night Brewing and signature cocktails from American Spirit Whiskey as well as a preview of our short film and a spectacular performance by Blair Crimmins and the Hookers.
Peek Into Our First Event on the Westside
On October 11th, 2012, Southern Food Tour celebrated a night of cocktails, small plates and stories from four of Atlanta’s most distinguished Chefs: Anne Quatrano from Bacchanalia, Adam Evans from The Optimist, Ford Fry from JCT Kitchen and Linton Hopkins with Restaurant Eugene over on the Westside.
